October 24, 2015 - Violapalooza celebration at VCU

The Virginia Viola Society would love to invite the members of our Charlottesville community to the annual Violapalooza celebration. The event will take place Saturday, October 24th on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. Violists of all ages and levels are invited to attend! The event also welcomes perspective viola students, curious about the instrument. For the first time ever we will offer a set of viola pedagogy lectures for teachers attending the event. These sessions are aimed at enhancing viola specific language in the classroom and private studio. Teachers who register 4 or more students will be admitted free of charge. This action packed day will also include faculty performances, viola ensemble, masterclass and special workshops. Our guest artists include Andrea Houde, from West Virginia University and Roger Tapping of the Juilliard String Quartet. Refer to the attached brochure and flyer for more information.

Your registration fee includes:

1) A Viola Society T-shirt

2) Lunch and Snacks

3) A one year Virginia Viola Society Membership

4) A discount coupon to the Juilliard String Quartet Performance at VCU following Violapalooza. The concert will take place in the VCU Singleton Center for the Performing Arts at 8pm on Saturday October
