Hello! I am Anna Weddington, violinist, violist, and Suzuki registered violin teacher. I teach Suzuki method and traditional violin and viola lessons for kids and adults of all ages and levels.
Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, I have over 20 years of experience teaching in public schools, youth orchestras, and private lessons, and was Program Director of an El Sistema-inspired youth orchestra in Central Kentucky. I draw from a wide range of methods to tailor lessons to each student to make playing an instrument an enriching, positive experience.
I have degrees in Violin Performance and Music Education from the University of Kentucky and am currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in Pedagogy from East Carolina University.
I lived and taught in Charlottesville previously and am thrilled to return! I am accepting violin and viola students.
