I’m a voice teacher, performer, and music director with over 25 years of experience helping individuals and communities find their voices. I empower students to sing and speak with confidence while discovering the joy of authentic self-expression. Drawing on my work with Four County Players, Charlottesville Opera, local churches, and my background as a Director of Worship and Music, I bring a well-rounded, functional approach to vocal training. My teaching emphasizes healthy technique, sight-reading, ear training, and a versatile repertoire, often encouraging crossover between classical, musical theater, and commercial styles.
My students have gone on to study music education, theater, and vocal performance, with many now serving as music directors and teachers. I’m a Level III Certified Teacher of Somatic Voicework™ – The Lovetri Method. My journey began as a pianist and flutist before discovering my passion for singing and vocal health through vocal recovery. I hold a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Virginia Tech and an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Santa Clara University. I teach from my private studio near Crozet, VA, and continue to perform locally.
