Yvaine Duisit Theory Olympics

The Theory Olympics were created in memory of CMTA member and pianist/organist/teacher extraordinaire, Yvaine Duisit. Training at the Paris Conservatoire, she had a passionate love for theory, knowing it to be the foundation for the deep understanding required for musical excellence on any instrument.

The games are a jeopardy-style event, where music students of varying experience are placed on teams and answer music theory questions both individually and as a team. Prizes are awarded after each round, with a grand prize at the end! Pre-registration is requested but not required.

Contact the Theory Olympics chair at cvillemta@gmail.com for more information!

The 2014 Olympics will be held Saturday, March 22 from 2:00 to 3:30 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church
